YORK REGION CATHOLIC STUDENTS CONTINUE TO BE TOPS IN THE PROVINCE
Once again, our EQAO testing has resulted in Grade 3 and 6 to be the tops in the Province. In fact, our students achieved marked increases over last years positive results. Our Board's visions of inservicing our teacher sand workshops are fostering student success.

Lunch Time Tips
As a fellow parent, I too have the challenge of what to provide my children for lunch that they will eat.
The following are some ideas.
- Get together with your children and plan and prepare a menu for the week ahead
- Ensure that you have all the supplies handy to pack you children's lunch. This will be useful when everyone is in “the morning rush”.
- Try to make lunch a fun activity with your child, get them involved and ask for their preferences. Encourage healthier eating, every little bit helps.
Allergy Safe Schools
In accordance to Sabrina's Law, the Board developed and began implementation of a new Anaphylactic Policy to protect our students. Although it is impossible to create an absolute risk free environment, we have taken the initiative of ensuring we provide an informed and compliant environment in our schools.
Traffic
As we get into the colder months, many more parents will take the car to transport our children to and from school. Each school has a traffic plan and we ask that every parent follows it. We must set the example and ensure the safety of children. In addition, please be weary around school busses and respect the pick-up and drop off areas.
School Councils – Let's do our share as parents!
Parent involvement through our School Councils is a way to help in the fostering of student success. As advisory to our school communities, Councils is an effective way for parents to help.

With allowable funding we have been fortunate to begin building new schools with daycare facilities.
